AIP · ATLANTIC CANADA
An employer-driven route to PR
with no LMIA required.
The Atlantic Immigration Program lets designated employers in the four Atlantic provinces hire skilled workers and graduates for permanent residence directly - no LMIA, no CRS ranking. It is where the majority of our PR files are filed.

THE LANDSCAPE
What's actually
happening right now.
A quick read of the policy weather before we open your file - so the strategy fits the ground you're standing on.
AIP pairs a job offer from a designated Atlantic employer with a provincial endorsement and a settlement plan, then leads straight into a federal permanent residence application.
Because there is no ranking pool and no labour market impact assessment, timelines are predictable - but the endorsement package is exacting. Employer designation, needs assessment, settlement plan, and job-offer form all have to line up before the province will look at the file.
HOW WE WORK
Four phases. No handoffs.
Employer or candidate intake
We assess whether the employer is designated - and if not, we run the designation application - then confirm candidate eligibility.
001Job offer & needs assessment
Offer of employment form and the candidate's needs assessment prepared with a settlement service provider.
002Provincial endorsement
Complete endorsement package filed with the province, including the settlement plan and employer documentation.
003Federal PR filing
Permanent residence application filed on endorsement, with an optional temporary work permit so the candidate can start work sooner.
004WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHERE FILES FAIL
The three pitfalls we see most.
Assuming the employer is designated
Designation is a separate provincial approval. Without it, no AIP offer is valid.
Skipping the settlement plan
The needs assessment and settlement plan are mandatory, not formalities - endorsements are refused over them.
Seasonal or part-time offers
AIP requires non-seasonal, full-time employment. Hospitality and fisheries offers frequently fail this test.
QUESTIONS WE GET
Straight answers.
Do I need an LMIA for AIP?+
No. That is one of the programme's biggest advantages for employers.
Can I start working before PR is approved?+
Yes - AIP includes a temporary work permit option once you hold an endorsement.
Do you help employers get designated?+
Yes. We run designation applications and advise on compliance across all four Atlantic provinces.
